Visitors to Serbia have many choices. They may enjoy our beautiful National Parks or visit Serbian monasteries, some of which are gorgeous examples of Byzantine architecture and are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In addition, Serbia hosts an increasing number of cultural festivals and some of them are among the most popular in the world.

EXIT is officially recognised as one of the most popular festivals in Europe. The music festival has been held since 2000 at Petrovaradin fortress near the city of Novi Sad. Many renowned musicians from all around the world perform at this festival. If you want to enjoy great music, popular musicians and socialising with people from all around the world, the beginning of July is the best time to visit Serbia.

Guča trumpet festival is an annual brass band festival held in the town of Guča, a three-hour car ride from Belgrade, Serbia’s capital. It is one of the oldest festivals in Serbia, which has been held each August since and attracts visitors from all over the world with its delightful music and traditional dishes.

The Belgrade International Theatre Festival (BITEF) was founded 50 years ago and encourages modern but also cherishes classical plays. BITEF is held in September and all theatre enthusiasts can take pleasure in a wide range of plays from different parts of the world.

Other options include Nišville, the jazz festival in the city of Niš, the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade, the Belgrade Summer Festival and many others. Whichever festival you choose, our festivals’ traditions and the hospitability of the people will guarantee a great experience.
