The settlement system of the Slovak NCDCP became eligible for use in European credit operations. By Maria Gelingerova, Relationship Manager, GSS Slovakia
The Governing Council of the national central banks of the euro area has issued a decision confirming that the National Central Securities Depository of Slovak Republic meets all the necessary criteria to recognise its securities settlement system as an eligible system for use in Eurosystem credit operations.
The decision is based on an assessment carried out by the European Central Bank. Counterparties may now make use of NCDCP’s settlement securities system when transferring collateral issued in a central securities depository or international central securities depository.
