Banja Luka Stock Exchange became an active member of the SEE Link Network. By Enis Zejnić, Relationship Manager, GSS Bosnia and Herzegovina
In August, the Banja Luka Stock Exchange became the sixth active member of the SEE Link network, enabling trade on the market of the Republic of Srpska. Sarajevo will follow suit.
A revision of SEE Link indices is planned for the forthcoming period in order to comply with the recent accession. After they complete the process of obtaining membership for trading via SEE Link, members of the Banja Luka Stock Exchange will join the other 32 active members of the network.
Along with Athens, the Sarajevo Stock Exchange is preparing to connect to the SEE Link as well. Since the SEE Link system aims to increase liquidity and improve access for investors and local brokers, accession of both countries’ stock exchanges should have a positive impact on the development of the capital market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
