Decommissioning of CDAD's Old IT-System Postponed

The Bulgarian Central Depository AD (CDAD) has announced a one-month postponement of the official final decommissioning of its legacy IT-system

Following the analysis of the readiness of CDAD members to switch to the CSD's new IT-system and in line with a decision of CDAD Board of Directors, CDAD has announced 29 February 2016 as the launch date for its new IT-system. For the successful transition between the systems the test schedule has been extended until 14 February 2016.

Additionally, CDAD has announced the timeframes for the corporate actions' testing as follows:

  • Syntax testing: 14 March 2016 – 28 March 2016;
  • Integration testing: 28 March 2016 – 8 April 2016.

Impact on investors: The transition to a new IT-system of CDAD which is expected to improve the post-trading infrastructure for the corporate securities in Bulgaria of has been rescheduled to 29 February 2016.
