Double Tax Treaty between Czech Republic and Iran was signed on 30 April 2015

The Czech Ministry of Finance announced that the Agreement with Iran on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income together with the Protocol was signed on 30 April 2015.

Currently there are no arrangements in the area of tax matters between the two countries and the negotiation of the Agreement will enhance the legal certainty for potential investors in both countries. This is a comprehensive document governing all matters of taxation and elimination of international double taxation on all kinds of income.

Both countries will now follow the traditional legislative process leading to the entry into force of the Agreement.

Impact on investors: Once in force, eligible investors will be able to benefit from the DTT between Czech Republic and Iran.
