Please be informed 23 October is the Anniversary of the 1956 Revolution and Proclamation of the Republic of Hungary in 1989, while Friday 24 October is set as an extra "bridge" holiday in accordance with the local practice. Replacing the extra holiday, Saturday, 18 October will be set as an extraordinary working day.
On the days of the banking holidays banks, KELER, KELER CCP, BSE, BÉTa MTF and MTS Hungary will be closed. Trading on BSE and on MTS Hungary will not be possible on these days, no clearing and settlement will also take place.

On Saturday, 18 October 2014 the banks, KELER and KELER CCP will be open and UniCredit Bank Hungary and both KELER and KELER CCP are operating with shortened deadlines. Free of payment securities transfers will be processed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. CET, whereas versus payment transactions can be settled between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. CET in KELER. As a result, UniCredit Bank Hungary will accept client instructions for guaranteed same day settlement on this day until 2:00 p.m. CET in case of free transactions and by 1:30 p.m. CET for versus payment settlement.
By way of reminder, MTS Hungary is the main market for Hungarian government bonds and follows the same holiday calendar as BSE. The settlement cycle for fixed income securities on both BSE and MTS Hungary and equities is T+2. OTC settlement usually follows the stock exchange settlement cycle, however the counterparties may agree on a different settlement date bilaterally.
Impact on investors: All banks, KELER, KELER CCP, MTS Hungary and BSE will be closed on 23 and 24 October 2014. Trading on BSE or on MTS will not be possible on the extra working day (Saturday, 18 October) either.
