Technical Problem with Connectivity to KELER– BCP Solution has been invoked

Today UniCredit Hungary experienced a technical issue with its connectivity to KELER (the Hungarian CSD). As a consequence, UniCredit Hungary had to invoke its BCP solution to settle the securities transactions in KELER.

Today UniCredit Hungary experienced a technical issue with its connectivity to KELER (the Hungarian CSD). The connectivity has not been restored, thus UniCredit Hungary had to invoke its manual BCP solution to settle the securities transactions in KELER.  Additionally, based on the request of UniCredit Hungary an extension of operating hours till 7:00 p.m. was granted both by the Central Bank of Hungary and by the CSD (KELER).

The Bank continues working with the telecommunication company to resolve the connectivity problem. UniCredit Hungary Global Securities Services will further monitor the situation and will advise of any updates as soon as available. In the meantime, for further information, please contact a member of the Relationship Management team.

 

Impact on investors: UniCredit Hungary activated its BCP solution due to UniCredit Hungary’s connectivity issue with KELER, as a result clients shall expect delays in receipt of settlement confirmations.
