The Russian CSD, National Settlement Depository, and the information agency Interfax have launched a project aimed at the creation of a database containing all available information on Russian issuers and financial instruments. Official data from the NSD record-keeping system, information disclosed by issuers via Interfax (as the authorised agency for such disclosure) and all information on issuers and securities collected by Interfax on the Russian securities market, will form part of the database.
The Corporate Data Source will be maintained based on the global practice existing in the Benchmark Data segment, which includes multi-level process of data verification, prompt information update and integration of the database and its components directly into the clients' information systems in a convenient way.
NSD and Interfax have also agreed on the development of Pricing Centre, which will provide fair assessment of financial instruments to market participants.
The first information product created as part of the project is planned to be launched within a month.
