The Russian CSD, National Settlement Depository (NSD), announced the introduction of additional clearing session at 14:00 Moscow time starting from 8 December 2015.
As a result of that, it will become possible to settle OTC trades against payment via cash accounts opened with NSD during nine clearing sessions: respectively, at 10:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 18:00, 18:45 and 19:40 Moscow time.
Settlement of OTC trades against payment via cash accounts opened with the USD settlement banks will continue to be possible during five clearing sessions - respectively, at 10:00, 13:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 18:45 Moscow time.
Impact on investors: The additional clearing session will extend the possibilities for settlement against payment for market participants and investors, and will thus contribute to reducing settlement inherent risks.
