OTC trading has vanished from Bratislava Stock Exchange since the beginning of the year due to new rules
As reported earlier, the obligation for members of the Bratislava Stock Exchange (BSSE) to instruct the settlement of OTC transactions with listed securities through the stock exchange system was abolished. The amendment to the Stock Exchange Rules became effective in January, resulting in a reduction of the cost of these trades and shorter settlement deadlines.
But the impact on BSSE trading was huge in respect of OTC trades. No such trades were concluded on the BSSE since January. Instead, they were settled through the information system of the Central Securities Depository of SR (CDCP).
