GSS’ annual gathering underlines flexibility and progression while emphasizing unity across the Group

Tradition has it that, at least once a year, the GSS community gathers together to reflect on the past, gather from group successes, share in development highlights and brain-storm on strategy and continued service-excellence. This off-site meeting has usually been held in closed-quarters across various locations however, this year, with the health and safety of employees across the Group at the forefront of the UniCredit agenda, the virtual space was born as a proving ground for harmony, efficiency and unity across a varied landscape comprised of 11 entities across CEE and Austria.

The virtual platform holds distinct advantages in that logistical arrangements are narrowed down to technical capacity which, with proper application, is almost limitless. In this respect, we were pleased to have the ability to host a record number of GSS colleagues providing for an energetic, enthusiastic and extremely productive atmosphere. Joined by Senior Managers including Luca Corsini and Giovanni Solaroli, Co-Heads of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), as well as Riccardo Madinelli, the newly appointed Head of CEE GTB, the GSS family was able to re-affirm the importance of the role our business plays within the Global organization and strategy.

Reinforced by presentations from Julia Romhányi, Global Head of Securities Services, as well as central team members, Zuzana Milanova, Bogdan Pindaru, Michal Baranek and Global Relationship Managers (Mária Bíróné Kejla, Dario Mariotto and Sven Trahan), the GSS team was provided with the opportunity to proactively interact and discuss important topics facing the Group, our clients and the industry as a whole. Amongst others, a special focus was devoted to the Group strategy, Operational risk awareness, network management, new IT landscape and upcoming regulatory changes as well as how to continuously build true partnerships with our existing and future clients.

The day was wrapped up with an interactive team-building session aimed at the identification of measures to positively influence enhance recognition and growth.

In all, this Get Together was a huge success and both managers and staff agreed that the pandemic situation, with all of its difficulties, has proven that the preparation of our teams, over many years, has opened the doors to true flexibility and that we, as a Group, are ready to be there for our colleagues, clients and partners … both in physical and virtual presence.
