On 12 October, the President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, ratified the treaty on the accession of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). Kazakhstan will become the 162nd WTO member by the end of the year after 19 years of accession talks.
Membership in the WTO will eliminate barriers between the markets of Kazakhstan and other WTO countries.
