Slovenia: Investment Funds and Management Companies Act implemented

The new Investment Funds and Management Companies Act (ZISDU-3) was published in the Official Gazette on 4 May 2015 and became valid on 19 May 2015. The Act replaces the currently valid Act (ZISDU-2) and regulates public funds.

The new Act, among other EU directives, implements UCITS Directive 2009/65/ES, partly implements Directive 2013/14/EU, amended Directive 2003/41/ES and Directive 2011/61/EU. The Act will regulate public funds. The procedure in a case of the abolishment of a custodian’s license is defined. The Securities Market Agency is obliged to prepare new underlying regulations within 9 months.
