Hungarian KELER has published an updated schedule for the implementation of its new BaNCS system. By Beata Szőnyi, Senior Relationship Manager, GSS Hungary

A bit more than a month following the Hungarian CSD (KELER) had announced a new go-live date for BaNCS implementation (3 October), a new implementation schedule was published by KELER, including specific timelines for market and migration tests, as well as certification processes.
The new project timeline has been announced as follows:

  • Market test: 6 June – 1 July
  • Certification period: 4 July – 8 July
  • Optional test period: 11 July – 12 August
  • Code freeze: 31 August
  • Go-live date: 3 October
  • Prior to the market test there will be connectivity testing for KELER’s clients in order to ensure that the necessary connection is in place.

During the one-week certification period all KELER clients need to test those transactions that are essential for their operations with KELER. The goal of the certification is to ensure that both KELER and all of its clients (i.e. the direct participants to KELER) are ready for the system replacement.

  • KELER has also published its planned schedule for T2S implementation:
  • Beta test: 11 July – 12 August
  • Market test: 19 September – 16 December
  • Business day simulation: 2 January 2017 – 20 January 2017
  • T2S go-live date: 6 February 2017

The beta test will be optional for those market participants that are planned to have segregated T2S accounts, the aim of which is to check T2S settings and connectivity followed by testing of T2S functionality of BaNCS.

The market test will be mandatory for all KELER’s clients upon their accessibility to T2S functionality. In this phase participants will be required to perform successfully set test cases in order to ensure that they are prepared to use KELER services within T2S environment, as well.

Participation in the T2S Business Day Simulation will be optional.
