Over 100 years of tradition

UniCredit Bank Austria is the clear number one securities services provider, featuring a market share in international clientele of about 70%. The Bank is also the biggest clearing agent for remote members of the Vienna Stock Exchange (VSE) and represents an overwhelming market share of approx. 40% in Austria-related clean (commercial) payments.

Of all players, UniCredit Bank Austria has the longest track record, dating back to 1855. This tradition translates into a strong influence: UniCredit Bank Austria represents the Austrian Banking Federation in Target2 Securities, EuroFI and other EU-related matters

New market segment on the Vienna Stock Exchange

On January 21, the Vienna Stock Exchange (VSE) has released its new market segmentation “direct market plus” and “direct market”. These two segments have replaced the former “mid market” as well as the “other securities” market. The basic segment is the direct market where 23 stocks are traded currently. The new direct market plus segment comprises four securities formerly listed at the mid market and four entirely new securities. The new markets offer a listing facility for small-to-medium enterprises (SME) and up-and-coming young companies.
