A platform to help align with the ESG requirements
UniCredit Bank Austria became a partner of Oesterreichische Kontrollbank’s (OeKB) ESG Data Hub in January 2024, taking another important step towards firmly anchoring sustainability in its DNA.
The ESG Data Hub allows companies to use the centralized online platform to collect and process their relevant ESG (environmental, social, and governance) data and share it quickly and easily with financial partners.
In the past years, ESG has become increasingly important as it is driven by regulatory obligations and investors’ interests. Companies are obliged to prove that they are sustainably conducting their business. Therefore, the ESG platform is the right tool for UCBA to ensure aligning business decisions with the ESG requirements.
The platform supports Austrian companies in fulfilling their ESG obligations. As a bank, UCBA is now using the platform as an additional source to support its clients in their ESG transformation and to efficiently consider ESG risks for its customers.
Underlining this commitment, Euromoney also recently recognized UCBA as the Best Bank to conduct ESG principles in Austria in 2023.
