The Banja Luka Stock Exchange celebrates the 15th anniversary of the first trade executed on its trading platform.

It has been 15 years since the Banja Luka Stock Exchange (BLSE) has started trading on its platform. In that period of time the total turnover amounted to BAM 5.1 billion through 890.627 trades. The highest turnover was made with shares of listed companies (BAM 2.53 billion) followed by bonds (BAM 1.53 billion) and with T-bills (BAM 1.03 billion).

The portal was developed in cooperation with the Republic of Srpska Securities Commission and the Central Registry of Securities, and discloses information relevant to investors in securities, such as financial and audit reports, convening GSM and corporate actions. The BLSE cites its Internet portal containing all the information related to securities trading as a significant contribution in the increase of transparency of the domestic capital market.

The BLSE real-time trading data are received by Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Morningstar, SIX Telekurs, S&P Dow Jones Indices, Teletrader, MSCI and other leading world vendors.

Over the years, the BLSE has developed a modern stock exchange trading system consisting of several applications and interfaces. The most significant is the application for brokerage houses (Broker Office) which is used in the markets of Republic of Srpska, Montenegro and Macedonia, followed by a web trading observer (BLSE Online), an application for T-Bills auctions, a money market trading application and a few others.

The BLSE will surely continue with efforts to increase the companies' transparency, financial literacy, protection of shareholders’ rights, as well as its IT projects.
