Please be kindly informed that the Central Registry of Securities Banja Luka (CRHOV) adopted Amendments to the Rulebook on Custody related activities conducted within the CSD System. The Amendments, which became effective as of 23 August 2019, allow transfer and holding of securities belonging to individuals and corporate entities (clients of global custodians) to the omnibus securities account opened in the name of the local custodian bank.
Previously, only securities belonging to global custodian banks and investment funds could be transferred and kept in omnibus custody account opened in the name of local custodian bank, while securities belonging to individuals and corporate entities could only be transferred and kept in segregated custody accounts opened in the name of beneficial owner.
Impact on investors: Amendments to the Rulebook on Custody related activities conducted within the CSD System now allow transfer and holding of securities belonging to individuals and corporate entities in the omnibus securities account opened in the name of the local custodian bank at the CSD level.
