As a leading Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina, UniCredit Bank strives to put customer and community care at the heart of its operations, believing that it will start a chain of kindness in society that will bring benefit to current and future generations. In that spirit, the Bank is proud of its cooperation with “SOS Children's Villages”, which has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1994. This institution provides hundreds of children with a warm family environment, love, a sense of belonging, and education –in other words, the opportunity for a better future.

UniCredit Bank started this cooperation by providing education about financial literacy. The first workshop brought this important topic closer to the participants and certainly helped some of them not only in regards to money management, but perhaps also in navigating a future career.

The second workshop was held by the Bank’s partner, Mr. Marijan Tustonja, President of the Association of Students with Disabilities, during which he shared his remarkable story. Mr. Tustonja was also raised in a home for children without parental care and despite the circumstances, has achieved a successful life and a career. The Bank sees it a privilege to be a part of this collaboration, especially considering how important it was for the children to hear an authentic story from someone who walked in their shoes.
