The Bulgarian regulator issued a licence to CDAD in accordance with the requirements of CSDR
At a meeting on 17 September the Financial Supervision Commission made the decision to issue a licence to the Central Depository AD (CDAD) to act as a Central Depository pursuant to Art. 16 of Regulation (EU) No 909/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on improving securities settlement in the European Union and on central securities depositories and amending Directives 98/26/EC and 2014/65/EU and Regulation (EU) No 236/2012 (CSDR).
The license granted to CDAD includes all non-banking core services and all non-bank ancillary services under Regulation (EC) No 909/2014 and provides the depositary the opportunity to operate in other member states directly or through other depositories.
