SKDD has received an extension of up to a year to adjust its CSDR application

The Croatian central securities depository (SKDD) has issued a notice stating the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA) approved a maximum 12-month deadline extension for the amendment of the application for a licence under the Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR).

The extension was granted to ensure better alignment with CSDR, it was also due to the licensing of SKDD-CCP under EMIR. Once SKDD obtains approval under CSDR it will no longer be able to provide contractual settlement services.

SKDD will continue its active participation in the European Depository Association (ECSDA) in order to share experiences and best practices with regard to meeting these regulatory requirements.
