Dear Client,

Ministry of Finance announces that on 12 September 2014 entered into force the Protocol which amends the DTT between the Government of the Czech republic and The Government of the Republic of Singapore for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income (signed in Singapore on 21 November 1997) which was signed in Singapore on 26 June 2013.

The provisions of the Protocol which forms an integral part of the Agreement will be implemented as follows:

In the Czech Republic:

  • in respect of Article 10 dealing with the exchange of information on request made at the September 12,2014 or later
  • in respect of taxes withheld at source, to income paid or credited on January 1,2015 or later
  • in respect of other taxes on income for any taxable year beginning January 1,2015 or later

In Singapore:

  • in respect of tax chargeable for any year of charging beginning 1 January 2015 or later
  • as regards Article 10 dealing with the exchange of information on request made at the 12 September 2014 or later
