UniCredit GSS Hungary changes its communicating BIC code

With the aim to harmonize the matching and communicating BIC codes, the Global Securities Services Department of UniCredit Hungary (UniCredit GSS) will replace the currently used eight-digit sender BIC (BACXHUHB) with the eleven-digit BIC (BACXHUHBCUS) from December 6, 2021.  Clients will be required to send all securities settlement and corporate actions related SWIFT messages (MT5xx) to BACXHUHBCUS. The BACXHUHBCUS BIC code will be used for all type of communication between UniCredit GSS and its counterparties including confirmation and statement messages as well.

Please note that no change will take place regarding  MT1xx, MT2xx and MT9xx messages, for which the communication will continue to be done via BACXHUHBXXX.

Impact on investors:  Matching and communicating BIC codes of UniCredit GSS will be harmonised and from December 6, 2021, all SWFIT messages related to securities will need to be sent to BACXHUHBCUS BIC code.
