The Bucharest Stock Exchange is considering to take over the Sibiu Stock Exchange.
In the general shareholders’ meeting of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the start of negotiations regarding a potential merger with the Sibex-Sibiu Stock Exchange was approved by a majority of votes cast by the attending and represented shareholders.
As a result of the vote, at the end of April, the Bucharest Stock Exchange took the first step in merging with Sibex, the market operator based in Sibiu, by inviting consultancy companies to submit their offer for the due diligence process.
