The Depository for government bonds in Romania – SaFIR, implemented the new IT environment

On 18 July 2022 the Depository for government bonds, managed by the National Bank of Romania, SaFIR has successfully implemented in production the new system which comprises the CSDR requirements, such as:
- Recycling of settlement instructions,
- Sanctions as per Regulation (EU) no. 909/2014 and the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/1229,
- Monitoring the cases of non-execution of settlement and the sanctions related to cash funds according to the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/1229,
- Application and calculation, reporting, claim, collection and redistribution in case of sanctions.
