Alexander Grischenko has joined UniCredit as the new Head of Global Securities Services (GSS) at AO UniCredit Bank in Moscow. In this capacity, Alexander will report to Julia Petrova, Head of Global Transaction Banking at UniCredit Bank in Russia and to Julia Barbara Romhanyi, Head of GSS CEE.

In his role, Alexander will be responsible for the securities services business of UniCredit in Russia and the continuous development of our service capabilities and product offering.

In the past over 5 years Alexander had been leading the sales, relationship management and product development team of Societe Generale Securities Services in Russia, where he achieved strong financial results while building the local securities services offering to domestic and international customers.

Alexander started his career in the financial sector in 1999, when he joined the Custody Department of VTB Bank as a relationship manager. Later on he moved to the local CSD, where he was mainly responsible for product development and strategic initiatives. Starting from 2005 Alexander spent several years being part of Citibank's Securities & Fund Services front-office team in Moscow, initially running the project on the acquisition of ABN AMRO's custody business and then as relationship manager covering global custodians, international investment firms and asset managers. Before joining SGSS in 2009, Alexander, as member of Troika Dialog's global markets team, contributed to the company’s international trading set up.

Alexander graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 1999 with a degree in Finance and Credit. He has by now more than 16 years of experience working in the financial industry in Russia.
