The Georgian and Russian CSDs have announced to establish correspondent relations.
The Georgian Central Securities Depository (GCSD) reported on the signing of an agreement to open a correspondent account for the National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository. The agreement was reached during the Annual General Meeting of members of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD) held in Tbilisi.
The established interaction channel between GCSD and NSD will give Georgian investors access to the entire range of services provided by the NSD including the registration of securities, the settlement of transactions and other services related to the execution of rights attached to securities.
