This year the Moscow stock exchange plans to launch an additional evening trading session on the Equity market. The after-hours session will run from 7 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time. Starting from June 22, 2020 the 25 most liquid shares from the MOEX Russia Index will be available for trading. All shares from the MOEX Russia Index (38 stocks) will be available for trading by the end of this year. The evening session will include T+2 central order book, negotiated trades with the CCP and odd lots.
Impact on investors: The evening trading session on MOEX Equity market is expected to diversify the trading strategies with regard to trading hours suitable for wider time zones. As the settlement cycle is T+2 and NSD settlement deadlines are not going to change, we do not expect impacts on investors in terms of settlement.
