Russia's National Settlement Depository (NSD) announced the introduction of new information services to be provided by its Corporate Information Centre (CIC). CIC provides access to market participants and investors to NSD's consolidated database containing details on ongoing corporate actions, issuers and securities serviced by NSD. The technology behind the software solution used by CIC not only allows to modify and supplement the accumulated information obtained from various sources with important additional details, but also allows market participants and investors to produce flexible reports which could then be delivered via electronic communications channels.
The first phase of the CIC project will make the following information services available:
- GMs&Dividends - information on annual and extraordinary general meetings of shareholders and on dividend payments
- GMs&Dividends (Holding) - information on general meetings of shareholders and on dividend payments with respect to a client's securities portfolio serviced by NSD
- SIR Offers - information on Russian issuers' bond offers
- SIR Defaults - information on Russian issuers' bond defaults.
Impact on investors: CIC will provide market participants with access to a united information source for disclosing and receiving information with respect to issuers, securities and corporate actions.
