Ministry of Economic Development and Technology has responded to the letter that UniCredit Slovenia has address through the Banking Association concerning the adoption of the legal framework which will transpose the Shareholders Rights Directive II (SRDII) into the Slovenian legislation.
Based on the opinions received from the market participants, the Ministry has prepared a draft amendment to the Companies Act. After all the proposed amendments are harmonised and completed, the Act will be submitted to the Government in Sept 2020. The adoption of the new Companies Act by the National Assembly is expected towards the end of 2020.
