Slovenia completed the first phase of the privatisation of NLB through the first IPO in more than 10 years
The initial public offering of Slovenia's state-owned lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB), settled mid-November, marked the first going public in Ljubljana in a decade. The shares were admitted to the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the GDRs to the London Stock Exchange.
20 years ago, the GDRs of two Slovene companies traded on the London Stock Exchange but were delisted after approx. three years due to low volumes. The market hopes this new GDR placement will show more endurance.
