Annual conference with global attendence held in Ljubljana
The Bank Association of Slovenia organised an annual conference for the treasury, custody and investment banking industry. The conference was held on 13 and 14 April in Ljubljana.
The agenda of the conference covered several interesting regulatory and market infrastructure topics and offered comprehensive plans for the Slovenian financial market.
The Bank of Slovenia provided interesting insights on the T2-T2S consolidation and the Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECMS), while representatives from the KDD, the local CSD, shared initial feedback on the CSDR and SRDII implementations, the planned go-live for ECMS in November 2023 and the implementation of ScoRE standards for corporate actions.
Other relevant insights were provided by the Ministry of Finance and the Securities Market Agency and included topics like monetary policy, the security lending facility, Fin-tech, Crypto Assets, the regulation on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing as well as sanctions relating to Russia.
Last but not least, a special panel was held to cover the ESG topic.
