A Rewarding Experience
Internships play a significant role in the life of a young university student. They serve as windows through which we can catch a glimpse of our future professional careers.
One of the most defining experiences of my life occurred in 2015 when my family sent me to a Summer Boarding School in Oxford. During those two weeks, I found myself surrounded by people from all around the world who were very open to sharing their unique customs and languages with everyone. The international environment created at that camp left a profound impact on me. All of this played a role in my decision to study international business economics. Finding an internship position that perfectly aligned with my studies proved to be a challenge, but that's when UniCredit Bank came into the picture.
This summer I started working as an intern at the Global Securities Services department of UniCredit Bank in Budapest and it has been nothing but rewarding.
Working as an intern at GSS has taught me the importance of keeping in touch with clients and how crucial paying attention to the smallest details can be. Not only has it been a great learning experience, but I have also had the pleasure of meeting my colleagues. From day one, they have been extremely welcoming and made sure I felt like a part of the team from the start. Their encouragement for me to contribute to the Newsletter with this article reflects their welcoming approach. They are always enthusiastic about involving me in a wide variety of tasks and take the time to provide background information, ensuring I have a better understanding of the task at hand. Thanks to them, I have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge daily while being surrounded by great people at UniCredit Bank.
