Central Depository AD Plans to Amend Its Rules and Regulations

The Bulgarian Central Depository AD has announced its plans to amend its Rules and Regulations significantly. The draft version was sent last week to the Association of Banks in Bulgaria for a review by association’s member banks. The most important areas expected to be affected are:
- Functions - split in two main parts: Register of Financial Instruments and System for Clearing and Settlement
- Membership - new types to be introduced
- Corporate actions – information to be provided by CDAD to its members in certain cases
- Securities accounts in CDAD - new coding to be applied
