Today, KELER, the Hungarian CSD, announced the range and level of services to be provided within KELER CAPS system to its direct clients under SRD II as of 3 September.
In detail:
General meeting notifications received from issuers: Information can be captured by issuers on CAPS and the notification will be available for KELER’s clients via CAPS view function or XML manual file export.
Notifications for corporate events other than general meetings: Information can be captured by issuers on CAPS and the notification will be available for KELER’s clients via CAPS view function or XML manual file export.
Currently no SWIFT communication will be available between KELER and its direct clients with regards to general meeting notifications and notifications for other corporate events.
Shareholder's Identification: KELER will forward the shareholder's identification requests received for Hungarian or foreign securities from the issuers or other intermediaries (seev.045-046) to its direct clients via SWIFT or alternative communication channels in case of non-SWIFT capable clients . KELER will also send its response for shareholder’s identification (seev.047-048) to the designated addressee via SWIFT.
Currently no SWIFT ISO 20022 communication is available for intermediaries without direct account relationship with KELER, thus shareholder’s identification responses currently cannot be sent to KELER.
Impact on investors: Clients are requested to make note of the communication channels available at KELER. Information on the planned date of the SWIFT connection and RMA key exchange will be published at a later stage.
