On 26 June 2023, the Central Depository (CSD) notified its participants about the Financial Supervisory Authority Decision dated 22 June 2023, regarding the amendments of the Central Depository Code of Rules.
The amendments consist of mainly the implementation of provisions related to the Guarantee Fund contributions for the Romanian brokers. CSD followed the National Bank of Romania principle, to except from variable contribution the local brokers that can prove applying of the pre-validation mechanism of the financial instruments and funds related to the trades settled on net sessions.
In addition, other provisions related to the management of the trades not settled on the initial settlement date were harmonized with EU Regulation 1229/2018.
