The Slovenian government has declared 14th August 2023 a Solidarity Day, giving Slovenians a day off to help with flood damage clean-up efforts. The massive floods that hit Slovenia on 4th August have been termed the worst natural disaster since independence in 1991.
According to Prime Minister Robert Golob the day off would wrap up the difficult period in the spirit of solidarity.
On 14 August:
- The local CSD (KDD) will be opened; settlement of on-exchange trades will not be supported.
- Ljubljana Stock Exchange will be closed for trading.
- Local Banks will be closed; OTC DVP and FOP settlement will be supported by UniCredit Slovenia.
Impact on investors: Trading and settlement of on-exchange trades will not be possible while OTC DVP and FOP settlement will be supported by UniCredit Slovenia.
