The Bulgarian Stock Exchange introduced a new index
In September 2023, the Bulgarian Stock Exchange AD (BSE) announced the introduction of a new stock exchange index called ‘beamX’. The index’s calculation started on the 18th of September 2023 at an initial value of 100. ‘beamX’ constituents include 10 companies from the BSE’s growth market ‘beam’, which have been ranked based on the four equally-weighted criteria, them being free-float market capitalization, the number of deals for the previous six months, the volume of deals for the previous six months, and the number of shareholders.
The ‘beam’ market organized by the BSE started at the beginning of 2021 and has since brought 16 companies on board which managed to raise a total of over BGN 50 million via public offerings.
