New free-float market capitalization weighted index is 11th publication of the Zagreb Stock Exchange
Zagreb Stock Exchange published a new stock index – CROBEX10tr© on July 15th, 2020. CROBEX10tr© is the 11thstock index of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and its second index of total returns.
CROBEX10tr© is an index of total returns where dividends are included in the calculation. The new index will be of the same composition as the existing CROBEX10® one, and given it is a so-called free-float market capitalization weighted index, the weight of each stock will be determined in accordance with its free-float market capitalization, with each stock weight capped at 20%. As of May 29th, 2020, the base value has been set at 1,000 points.
The said publication is a next step in the continued efforts of the Zagreb Stock Exchange to provide investors with a set of workable data enabling them to make informed investment decisions more easily and monitor market developments in a more comprehensive manner, while it is also worth noting that typically, such indices are suitable for issuing structured products or exchange-traded funds.
