The Central Depository was authorised by the Financial Supervisory Authority, as the competent authority, National Bank of Romania and Central European Bank, as relevant authorities, according to EU Regulation 909/2014.

On December 18, 2019, the Financial Supervisory Authority confirmed the compliance of the Central Depository with EU Regulation 909/2014 (CSDr), applicable to all central depositories in the European Union.
