With reference to our previous announcement from 14 October 2014, we would like to inform that the Law on the clarification of the status of securities traded on the unlisted market is now in force, following its publication in the Official Gazette on 24 October 2014. The Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority is to enact implementing regulations pursuant to the provisions of the law within 30 days.
According to this act, more than 900 companies currently traded on RASDAQ will have to decide within 12 months whether to transfer to a regulated market, to transfer to an alternative trading system or to become closed companies.
Impact on investors: The activities of RASDAQ and the unlisted securities market will cease 12 months after the law's entry into force.
