Belgrade Stock Exchange reduces duration of trading hours

Belgrade Stock Exchange reduces duration of trading hours in all market segments with effect 20 March 2020.

Taking into account the declared State of emergency in the Republic of Serbia (Resolution published in Official Gazette 29/20), and within the measures, mechanisms and recommendations for control of the spread of the infectious disease caused by the COVID-19 virus, the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BELEX) has adopted the Resolution on reducing the duration of trading hours in all market segments.

Continuous trading day will start at 9:00 AM CET and end by 12:00 PM CET (previously 2:00 PM):

 9:00 – 9:30 AM – preopening phase, with sub-phases:

•               9:00 – 9:25 – receipt of orders,

•               9:25 – 9:30 – random period;

9:30 AM – opening;

9:30 AM – 12:00 PM – continuous trading;

12:00 PM – closing.

Impact on investors: With effect 20 March 2020, the investors will have to adjust their trading activities to the shortened trading hours of BELEX.
