Dear Clients,
Since February, I have been in the position of Global Co-Head of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and the challenges of 2020 have certainly lent to an interesting integration and have provided me with great insights into the resiliency of our business. Global Securities Services (GSS) is a token to this observation as the past months have proven that this team has not only flawlessly adapted to the new environment, but also continues to consistently exceed in service standards. I am extremely proud of the recent recognition of this fact with GSS having been awarded Global Finance’s Best Sub-custodian Bank in Central & Eastern Europe 2020. For this, I would like to take the opportunity and personally thank all of you, our valued clients, for your continued trust and support.
Having started my career at UniCredit in 1991 (former name: Credito Italiano), I enjoyed many of my previous years in multifaceted managerial positions across corporate banking, most recently as Regional Manager of the Lombardia Region, in charge of Corporate, Retail and Private Banking.
Richard Burton, Head of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) commented that: “Sharing different backgrounds and knowledge bases will help all of us to improve the service we deliver to the Group extensive and growing client franchise.” I can very much attest to these words not only through my personal development, but through the many colleagues we have within GTB who have arrived here from varying backgrounds. This diversity provides a strong foundation upon which our business can thrive through independence, confidence and dependability.
