GSS Newsletter July 2018 - Issue 203

JULY 2018 - ISSUE 203

Dear Clients, Partners and Friends,

A few days before the start of the August summer break, welcome to this year’s second quarterly edition of the GSS Newsletter.

It is great to be able to start by sharing the news of the success of UniCredit in Global Finance’s 2018 World’s Best Subcustodian Banks awards, where we won the award for Best Subcustodian Bank in CEE for 9th consecutive time and, in addition, the country awards for Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Serbia and Slovenia. We would like to thank all our clients for their continuous support and appreciation of our services and look forward to reaching new heights together as we move on.

As a Founding Partner, it was a pleasure to welcome you in Vienna at the end of June for this year’s Network Forum Annual Meeting, where UniCredit is honoured to have been able to once again contribute to the ever-growing success of this unique event for the securities services industry. The need for greater and better harmonisation, collaboration, Brexit and information security have been central to the discussions during the event, on which Andrea Nagyiványi-Kárpáti reports in this edition.

At UniCredit GSS, we take great pride in our people as key success factor for our business and avail of every opportunity to promote both their professional growth and their involvement in the day-to-day management of our activities. In this edition, we show you a different side to the recent additions to our Global Sales and Relationship Management Team, Beáta Szönyi and Dario Mariotto, and introduce you to Martin Kužela, who recently joined our team in Czech Republic. We also let you have an exclusive glimpse at our recent strategy event, the GSS Get Together, which took place in Budapest.

We hope that you will find the market updates included in this edition of the newsletter insightful and look forward to catching up on our business discussions very soon. In the meantime, we wish an enjoyable and relaxing summer break.

Head of Global Sales & Relationship Management
